The Parish Choir at STE

Liturgical music at Saint Thomas’ Episcopal Church is formed around the foundations of psalmody, chant, and hymnody.  The musicians of Saint Thomas’ pour energy into the work of worshipping God, in the goal of reflecting and communicating His transcendence and grace.  Drawing on the rich landscape of the Anglican expression of worship as well as the broader Christian liturgical tradition, the Saint Thomas’ choirs enjoy a varied repertoire from across the centuries.

The Parish Choir is a vibrant part of the community of Saint Thomas’ Church and sings from the start of the fall school semester until Trinity Sunday, on Sunday mornings as well as on other feast days and occasions. The Parish Choir comprises volunteers, students, and professional singers, from high-school age upward, who rehearse Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:30  PM and on Sundays ahead of the 10:00 AM service.  Members of the Parish choir also offer a sung Evening Prayer at 6:30 PM on Wednesdays during the choir year.  New members are welcomed of all ages!
