Did you know that 50% of the individuals served at Gethsemane Food Pantry are children? St. Thomas’ Episcopal is partnering with CCSC (Christian Community Service Center) to provide food for Houston families through CCSC’s Gethsemane Food Pantry.
The food drive will run from Sunday, October 20 through Friday, October 25. Items may be dropped off in the STE office, church narthex, or in bins that will be placed around the campus.
CCSC’s most desired items include:
- peanut butter
- dry cereal
- assorted canned goods (including fruit)
- hygiene items (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, individually wrapped toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, soap, toilet paper)
Other items to consider:
- manual can openers
- plastic and brown paper bags (with handles)
- diapers and baby wipes
- Ziploc gallon bags
Volunteers are needed to help deliver donations to CCSC on Monday, October 28. If you can help, please contact Sharon Lambert at 713-559-1632 or email@example.com.
