Hurricane Update: Sunday Services and Weekend Activities Cancelled

flood infoBeloved,

Due to expected heavy rainfall and flooding, Sunday Services at St. Thomas’ will be canceled this Sunday, August 27. This includes worship services, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Catechesis, Youth Group, Evening Prayer, and any other church activity on Sunday.

For those of you who are heads of household and have a Prayer Book, I would encourage you to lead your family through Morning Prayer Sunday morning as you are able.

The service begins on page 3. The readings for Sunday are found on page 204 under Eleventh Sunday After Trinity. (We would have read Romans 8 and Matthew 23 this Sunday). There is also a shorter Morning Prayer service on page 587.

If you don’t have a copy of the Prayer Book handy, it is available online either as a pdf file or at

As you go through Morning Prayer, please pray for everyone affected by this hurricane and, especially for our most vulnerable parishioners.

May God bless you and please do let us know where we can help.

In Christ,

All School classes and activities are cancelled today (Friday, August 25) as are all weekend activities. There will be no school Monday, August 28.
