Moseley Memorial
Music Series

The Moseley Memorial Music Series provides the community opportunities to enjoy a variety of classical music concerts within the walls of our own church. The organs, instruments, and acoustics of our chapel make it an ideal place for musicians across the nation to showcase their talents while bringing glory to God through music.

We are blessed with an outstanding pipe organ, but there are many opportunities to augment our music with orchestral instrumentalists. We are blessed with fine soloists, but there are times when we want to bring in a soloist for a particular occasion or composition. We want our neighbors and the greater Houston music community to be blessed in hearing our magnificent Schoenstein pipe organ played by outstanding guest artists. The fund allows us to offer concerts, and services such as Choral Evensong.

The fund is established in memory of John Moseley, long time organist/choirmaster at Saint Thomas’. He came to us from the University of Denver in 1958, when our parish was new, and served until his death in 1996. Much of the tradition and vision we enjoy in worship and music to this day is because of the foundation laid by Mr. Moseley. As we seek to build on that foundation, we affirm and thank God for the ministry of John Moseley.
