All Saints Choral Evensong
November 1, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Hallowe’en (All Hallow’s Eve) is the day before the great festival of the church, the Feast of All Saints’. The word “Hallow” is derived from an old Saxon word which means “to make holy” and in older times was used as another word for saints or holy persons. Each year, on November 1st, we remember all those who have gone before us in the faith–the “great cloud of witnesses.”
Join us for a special Choral Evensong Wednesday evening, November 1, at 7 PM, featuring music of Charles Wood and others. Childcare will be available.
It is a tradition of the church to pray during the All Saints service for those who have died in the previous year. To have the name of your loved one added to our All Saints prayers, please contact Eileen Spisak in the Church Office.
