After additional testing of the flood mitigation activities in our church building, our Industrial Hygiene experts have cleared the building for use. We will have one service at 10:30 am beginning Sunday, October 15. Our 8:00 am service of Holy Communion resumes Sunday, October 29.
We will continue to use folding chairs, and you will see signs of work-in-progress for some time. We will shortly begin the process of moving the boxes that were temporarily stored in the back of the church to other locations on the campus. We do ask that you exercise extra care when moving about the church, as there are some rough edges in the wake of the floods.
Part of our master planning process with our new architects Merriman Holt Powell (MHP) will address the interior of the church and steps we can take to mitigate future flood damage. Our rector, David Browder, will soon appoint a committee of church members to work with the master plan committee and architects on this.
