On Sunday, February 22nd, David Browder, the Rector of St. Thomas’, introduced Amanda Welch to the parish as our new Director of Children’s Ministries. The parish family warmly welcomed Amanda, her husband Stoney, their daughter, Brooke, and several of her family and shared their excitement at having Amanda working with our children in the parish.
Amanda has been the Director of our Early Childhood Learning Program and built it into the highly successful program it is today. She will continue to lead that program, while assuming more responsibilities as head of all parish children’s ministry.

It is a tradition here at St. Thomas’ during Lent for children to collect coins in a “mite box” as a special love offering for Jesus. Mite boxes will be distributed in Sunday school and can also be picked up in the church Narthex.
