ECHO: Worship + Prayer

Sunday evening worship is now ECHO: Worship + Prayer, a service of Holy Communion and combines acoustic hymns with Anglican liturgy, scripture, sermon, and prayer. This service is perfect for youth, students, or families looking for a more relaxed worship experience.

Many of our neighbors are facing hunger and food insecurity due to pandemic-related sickness and lost wages, rising grocery prices or other unexpected crises. STE can help provide them with basic necessities through donating nonperishable items to CCSC. Your donations truly help—every single bag, box or canned item makes a big difference.

Please bring nonperishables to the church narthex or the lobby of Shaw Hall by July 10.

 Baby Bottle Bonanza

Baby bottles in the narthex of the church are for you to take home and fill with coins, cash and checks for the Women’s Pregnancy Center.  Baby Bottle Bonanza is a lifesaving fundraiser that the Women’s Pregnancy Center does, each year, from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. So, pick up a bottle, fill it up and return in on Father’s Day, June 19. All funds raised go towards the center’s free services, which include pregnancy testing, counseling, ultrasound services, and after-abortion support.

VBS at Saint Thomas’ Episcopal Church

Vacation Bible School kicks off the week of July 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. VBS will be open to all kids 3 years to entering 6th grade. This year’s theme is Spark Studios.  Spark imagination and kick creativity into high gear at Spark Studios. This summer, kids will learn that God’s creativity didn’t stop in Genesis. The Master Artist is working to redeem, reclaim, and transform us–His creation–to the design He planned for us. Kids will see the beautiful truth that they are God’s workmanship as they learn to use their talents to bring glory to Him. Click here to register. Click here to volunteer.

Alpha is coming to STE. This free, ten-week course will begin Thursday, September 15 at 6:30 p.m with dinner meetings on Thursday evenings.

What is Alpha? Alpha is a place to connect with other people who are open to exploring life, faith, and meaning. Each session includes a time to connect with others (over a free meal), hear a short talk on an element of the Christian faith, and then a chance for each person to share their own questions with the group. We’d love to hear your perspective!
